Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide
Mental health is a mission that we need to address in many aspects of our life. In a time when social media creates unrealistic expectations thus resulting in a negative self perception, retail and fashion needs to do more to provide an environment and experience where we celebrate our appearance...as it is. Embrace our bodies, shop for the bodies we have today, purchase clothing that brings us joy. We hope to bring confidence, self love, and positive self image to everyone who wears the Q Sartorial brand.
Established in 1987, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies:
- Funding scientific research
- Educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention
- Advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention
- Supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide in our mission
Q Sartorial is proud to support such an important mission by donating a portion of profits to the Hudson Valley/Westchester Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Our founder, Alyson Araque, is a Hudson Valley Native, and supports her sister who is the Co-Chair for this chapter’s Out of the Darkness annual walk.
